The AS-Series Protein Skimmers are advanced, in-sump models designed for use in a aquarium sump, submersed in approximately 6-8 inches of water. The AS-Series Protein Skimmers are manufactured from the highest quality 100% cell cast acrylic, Schedule 80 PVC Valves and Fittings and are equipped with high quality, high performance AIR-WHEEL magnetic drive pumps. The AIR WHEEL pumps mix large quantities of air and water to produce a large volume of foam. The AS-Series Protein Skimmers have been carefully engineered to provide increased performance by adding advanced features such as bubble diffusion plate technology and increased volume transition cones and high capacity necks.

The air flow and water flow are perfectly matched to the internal volume and design of the body to produce the maximum possible removal of organic matter from the aquarium water.

In addition, AS-Series Protein Skimmers are highly energy efficient, consuming as little as 38 watts for an AS-150.
